About Aspen Mountain (aka AJax)
General:
Aspen Mountain is one of the most widely known ski resorts in North America and probably the world. Featured in movies, such as Dumb and Dumber, and tv shows, such as South Park, Aspen has been building its reputation as a premiere ski destination since 1947.
Terrain:
Few resorts boast as much top-to-bottom expert terrain as Aspen Mountain. You can ride double-blacks from the summit all the way to the base. A single gondola ride will take you from bottom to top. The rest is up to you.
Aspen Mountain has several blue runs, but not a single green. There is only intermediate and up terrain. This is not ski area for first-timers. Beginners head to Snowmass or Buttermlk Mountain.
Village:
Aspen is one of the coolest ski towns in Colorado and also one of the biggest. There is plenty of of lodging, shopping and dining options in Aspen.
