About Powderhorn Mountain
General:
Sitting atop the largest flat-top mountain in the world, Grand Mesa, Powderhorn Ski Resort towers 4,000 feet over the valley floor. Powderhorn is the closest ski resort to Grand Junction, CO and a favorite in the area. Locals rave about the dry quality of the snow at Powderhorn.
Terrain:
Powderhorn's ski area has an impressive 1600 acres and over 1600 feet of vertical to play on. The tree skiing at Powderhorn is where the powder and challenge is for expert skiers.
Beginners and Intermediates will find plenty of gentle greens and blues to soar down.
Village:
There are a few dining and loodging options at the base of the mountain. The Skier's Union Cafe & Bar is located right next to the main lift, in the Inn at Wildewood. Try one of their famous Ribeye Sirloin Filllet Burgers.
Other dining options include Trader Cafe and Sunset Grille & Bar. The closest town is Mesa, CO about 10 minutes, offering some dining and lodging options. Grand Junction is about a 45 minute drive from Powderhorn Ski Resort.
