About Echo Mountain
General:
Echo Mountain is the closest ski area to Denver, CO and also Colorado's newest ski resort. Echo is known for its terrain park and freestyle skiing and riding.
Terrain:
Echo Mountain is one giant playground. There are lots of jumps, rails, bumps, and even a half pipe. New at Echo is a tree park called The Asylum.
Upper and Lower Westside Glades makes up the one tree run at Echo Mountain. There are some other places to enter the trees, but Westside Glades is the longest, most sustained tree run.
The runs aren't steep, but at just over 1000 feet of vertical, you can still get in a good workout. There are a few blue groomers that run along freestyle features, giving you the choice to jib rails or bomb a groomer.
Village:
Echo Ski Area is located in between Evergreen and Idaho Springs, CO, near Mount Evans. Either Evergreen or Idaho Springs has plenty of dining and lodging options available. You can grab a bite to eat while at Echo though too.
Reasons to Go:
Night-skiing; Close-to-Denver; Cheaper lift tickets; Great terrain parks.
