About Aspen Highlands
General:
Known as the locals' favorite in the Aspen area, Aspen Highlands is all about expert skiing. The views from Aspen Highlands are amazing and when combined with a lift ticket that's good at all four Aspen Resorts, Aspen Highlands makes for an epic ski trip.
Terrain:
This is not the place to go if it's your first time on your skies or snowboard. Aspen Highlands has lots of expert terrain: chutes, steeps, trees, bowls, moguls, cliffs. You are sure to have a blast riding down the 3600 feet of vertical steeps Apsen Highlands offers. You can ride double-blacks from the Summit all the way to the base at the Highlands.
There are some easier green and blue runs in the middle of the mountain, but a true beginner would have more variety and like-minded people over at Snowmass or Buttermilk Mountains.
Hike to the Highlands Bowl for deep snow and epic lines on a powder day. Every way down from Highlands Bowl is a double-black, so be ready to shred. There are great trees through Canopy Cruiser on the way back from this Bowl.
Village:
Downtown Aspen is a short drive or shuttle ride away. There are plenty of dining, shopping, and lodging options within walking distance of the slopes.
Reasons to Go:
Aspen Village; Expert ski terrain; Power of Four- your lift ticket is good at all four Aspen Resorts: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk.
