Liquid Descent was the Colorado rafting outfitter we used when rafting Clear Creek. We met at their building near Idaho Springs. I would recommend going through them again. We found a $10 discount coupon online for a half day rafting trip.
About Rafting Clear Creek
(near Idaho Springs, CO)
Clear Creek runs along most of I-70 on the way from the front range to Eisenhower tunnel. The rafting trip we went on started just west of Idaho Springs, CO and ended around the Central City exit of I-70.
A half day trip will get you about 75-90 minutes worth of rafting. The Clear Creek rafting trip is not the longest in Colorado, but the action is continuous and fun. It is also the closest serious white-water to Denver. Clear Creek is narrower than other Colorado rivers, which helps create the intense rapids.
There are several outfits that run the Idaho Springs stretch of I-70. Our rafting guide was Liquid Descent. It ran us just under $50 for a half-day hitting some fun Class I through IV's rapids. We also found a $10 discount on a half day trip online, with a little bit of Google searching.
