Strawberry Park Hot Springs
About Strawberry Park Hot Springs
General:
Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a very nice hot mineral springs destination in northwest Colorado. It is 15 minutes outside of downtown Steamboat Springs, CO. It requires snow tires and 4-wheel drive in the winter.
This Colorado hot springs destination is beautifully laid out at the bottom of a hill, and offers awesome Colorado wilderness views during the day. If you go skiing during the day at Steamboat, you gotta make it to Strawberry Park Springs for an apres-ski soak.
If you go at night or will be heading back in the dark, bring a flash light as you will need it to walk down a dark path to/from the mineral waters. Bring your own towel and flip-flops if you got them.
Facility:
There are several (4-6) hot mineral pool areas at Strawberry Park. All are fed naturally through hot springs that you can see entering the pool.
There are teepees and several place to change outdoors. There is also an indoor heated changing area. A cold creek creek surrounds the hot springs and provides chances for a polar bear plunge.
Atmosphere:
Family-friendly during the day; Clothing optional after dark. It can get raunchy after hours and there is an almost positive chance of seeing some kind of nudity in the evenings.
Alcohol is not allowed, especially no glass - They will check your bags.
