About Piedra River Hot Springs
General:
The Piedra River Hot Springs is a primitive Colorado hot springs destination outside of Pagosa Springs, CO.
Facility:
Take US 160 for about 20 miles southwest of Pagosa Springs. The turn off is located 5.5 miles west of the Chimney Rock turnoff which is on the left (Hwy 151) and before the Piedra River. From Highway 160, you will make a right on 1st Fork Road/Co Rd 166. Take road for 7.3 miles until you reach trailhead and parking area.
Take the Sheep Creek Trailhead.for a 3 miles round trip to the Piedra River Hot Springs. The amount of pools to soak in varies and depends on upkeep and the environment. Generally, there will be a few different hot springs pools to soak in.
Atmosphere:
Secluded, private setting. Clothing optional. Good chance of seeing wildlife.
