About Desert Reef Hot Springs

General:

Desert Reef Hot Springs is a semi-private hot springs resort west of Pueblo, CO. It is situated in the Colorado Banana Belt, so you can expect to have a sunny day while visiting. The resort is situated on ten scenic acres with views of the Front Range. It offers a truly unique and relaxing experience.

This Colorado Hot Springs destination was first drilled by Conoco in the 1940's, to a depth of about 1,100 feet. At the source the mineral springs water is 132 degrees F.

Facility:

There is one large pool for soaking at Desert Reef Hot Springs. It measures 36' x 50' and holds about 40,000 gallons of water.

Hot mineral water flows naturally from an artesian well on the property. The mineral Travertine gives the water its bluish hue.

There is a greenhouse lounge area with seating and tables. The greenhouse has a water cooler, refrigerator and microwave oven for use. Outside there is a BBQ grill available for cooking.

Atmosphere:

Relaxing, quiet hot springs. Food and beverages permitted but no glass. Pool use is limited to 60 patrons.

Clothing is optional at Desert Reef and only females and couples are admitted. Admittance to the hot springs is good for an entire day, so you are welcome to sign out and go enjoy the Colorado outdoors and then come back for a soak.
