About Fishing at Evergreen Lake
Evergreen, CO is one of the closest mountain towns to Denver, CO and is home to the large Evergreen Lake. Both Evergreen Dam and Lake provide great fishing opportunities for those close to Denver and the Front Range.
You can fish Evergreen lake with either traditional or fly rods. Most of the fish caught here are trout and range in size, averaging about a foot.
The lake is located next to Evergreen Golf Course and the Dam side of the lake is next to downtown Evergreen. There is a well-maintained trail that goes around the entire lake, allowing easy fishing access at any point. In the Winter there is ice skating on the lake and usually opportunities for ice fishing.
Evergreen Lake is also a Park and includes:
* 40 Acre lake
* 1 Acre park with picnic tables and grills
* Wetlands
* Observation boardwalk
* 1.3 Mile long trail loop
* Paddle boats, canoes, fishing boats
* Historical boat/warming house.
